2025 Participation Guide

We are not providing a service. We are building a container for us to be active participants and co-create something special, including the yoga sessions, talks, workshops, and parties for the larger Burning Man community. Here’s what you need to know. Be self-reliant and always remember that there are only active participants here: no spectators!
Camp location: TBD, likely on the 9 o'clock sector.

What We Provide

  1. Camp kitchen with one meal each day from Monday to Sunday--very nutritious, vegetarian, and organic where possible (thanks Gen!). Dinners daily except Sunday, which is a build brunch
  2. Central power for tent campers (there’s a lot of technical complexity but we’ll do our best to get this in place and running throughout the week). We don't provide central power to RV's
  3. Curated camp programming with daily workshops and activations
  4. Potable Water
  5. Private portable toilets
  6. Showers
  7. Public camp shade structure and event space
  8. 2x air conditioned belle tents
  9. Large shade structure to keep tents out of the sun
  10. Sound system for resident and guest DJs

What We Don’t Provide

  1. Ticket
  2. Shelter
  3. Transportation to/from playa
  4. Food outside of the one meal a day
  5. Bikes
  6. Refunds! We’re now close enough to go time that we can’t offer any refunds.

What We Expect

Given that we're creating a container, we expect the following of all campers. We won't be inviting back campers who don't meet these expectations:
  1. You must attend our opening ceremony Tuesday evening. Please be plan on arriving to camp by Tuesday early afternoon at the latest (note that gate line is often ~8-10 hours)
  2. You must help with strike on Sunday. We start Sunday morning and usually wrap by early afternoon. Please expect to leave playa Sunday evening (though we usually wrap up strike before then)
  3. You must attend your volunteer shift(s). There will be a schedule posted in the kitchen.
  4. Consent consent consent. See the survival guide for details.
